New Hyatt Times Square hotel will open on Fall of 2013!

The new Hyatt Times Square New York opening in Fall of 2013 boasts 487 guest rooms, including 49 suites in the heart of Manhattan's Theater District. The 54 story high rise will include a rooftop bar, state of the art fitness facility, luxury spa and  a street level 24 hour Diner. Perfectly situated on West 45th Street between Broadway and 6th Avenue, this hotel provides a central location for business and leisure travelers alike. Guests will find themselves steps awayfrom the business district and famous attractions such as Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and the New York Public Library.

The architectural firm SLCE designed the exterior of the building and the interiors are split between two prominent New York firms -  SPaN and GEORGEWONGDESIGN. SPaN handled the hotel’s public areas and the spectacular roof top lounge, complete with an outdoor deck on the 54th floor, offering panoramic views of the city whereas GEORGEWONGDESIGN handled the guestroom floors and the Diner on street level.

Guestroom’s  have an essence of the vibrant and upbeat energy of Times Square. Upon entry, guests will be greeted with a contemporary and sophisticated refuge that has a slick residential vibe. Each guestroom feels more like a private apartment with an eclectic collection of pop, minimalist and conceptual artwork that are themed around New York City. The space is fitted with neutral, light colored fabrics and warm woods which serve as the backdrop to the pop of color at the lounge chair by the window. Designed by a local New York City artist, this upholstery fabric utilizes vivid colors and shapes in a grid-and-tile structure to capture the city’s energy.

The Diner on the street level combines the energy of Times Square and the playfulness of modern art. The unique setting is consistent with the characters of the guestrooms. Shiny metals are paired with colorful striped wall-covering and warm neutral covered banquettes.
